Health 2.0 Europe is just so-o-o European; people from all over Europe have reached out in support of the event and the movement.
We have named the most active individuals in each country “regional ambassador”. Feel free to get in touch with your respective Ambassador to help drum up support for the Health 2.0 movement and the event! Here are a few words from our first Ambassadeurs extraordinaires from Austria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland.
Roberto Ascione - Italy

Roberto Ascione is a healthcare communications professional with a strong experience in digital and new technologies. Since the 1990s, he has been involved in the development of e-health by contributing to the debate about the healthcare transformation through the new communications technologies from both a patient and HCP perspective. Today, Roberto leads Publicis Healthware (member of Publicis Healthcare Group), an international digital healthcare agency with a strong R&D commitment; he is also continuing to support the spread of e-health publishing with a particular focus on e-marketing for pharmaceutical companies, health informatics and web 2.0. Trained as a medical doctor, Roberto holds a Masters degree in Marketing and Communications.

Miguel Cabrer - Spain

Miguel Cabrer is the founder of Medical Exchange MEDTING, a global site for medical exchange of information. Formerly the CIO of Hospital Son Llatzer, the first digital hospital in Europe (European eHealth Award in 2004), he then become the CIO and eHealth Strategy Coordinator for the Balearic Islands Health Department. At present, Miguel Cabrer is an independent eHealth Advisor, Member of the HIMSS EMEA Governing Council and Member of IMIA (International Medical Informatics Association - www.imia.org) Web 2.0 taskforce workgroup defining a Strategic Plan view to 2015. Main areas of specialization of Miguel Cabrer are: Digital Hospital, EHR – RHIO Initiatives, Integration Competence Centers and Health 2.0 (web 2.0 and healthcare).

Bart de Witte - Germany and Switzerland

Bart de Witte, a true European and a Senior in the Field of Healthcare IT. Next to being responsible for SAPs strategic development in the healthcare market and some break-through innovations, Bart is a valuable member of SAP's global Healthcare Council, The Swiss eHealth Summit Advisory Council and founding board member of the Swiss IG eHealth. Since 2 Years Bart acts as a Health 2.0 catalyst & firestarter in Europe. He studied (Ms.Ap.Sc) in Belgium at the Hogeschool Antwerpen and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and has followed several other post-university tracks at national and international business schools, including Harvard Business School. He resides in Zürich, Switzerland.

Chris Flim - Netherlands

Chris Flim worked for 10 years in Telecom & Media (KPN Dutch Telco & Capgemini) before entering the healthcare market as member of the management team of KNMG (Dutch Doctors Association) responsible for ICT and Internet activities. From 2006 onwards Chris Flim started his own company focusing on eHealth project management & consultancy. He worked on a range of projects (inter)nationally and regionally regarding Telehealth and (e-)Patient services e.g. at Nictiz (Dutch ICT in Healthcare Institute), NPCF (Dutch Patients Federation) and in Europe on Good eHealth & eHealth Strategies. In 2008 he became secretary of the board of the Dutch Association for eHealth & Telemedicine.

"Health 2.0 of Gezondheid 2.0 stond in 2009 in Nederland volop in de belangstelling. Terecht, want de paradigma shift die door Health2.0 wordt gerealiseerd heeft grote impact op de manier waarop we in de toekomst met onze gezondheid en zorg om zullen gaan. Het is een flinke uitdaging voor de zorgaanbieders en beleidsmakers om op die behoefte en ontwikkelingen in te spelen.

Bertlan Mesko - Hungary
Bertalan Mesko, MD graduated from the University of Debrecen, Medical School and Health Science center in 2009 and started PhD in the field of clinical genomics. He is the managing director and founder of Webicina.com LLC, the first web 2.0 guidance service for patients and medical professionals. He speaks at prestigious conferences; covers online international events and is a consultant for pharma and medical companies. Healthspottr.com included him in the Future Health Top 100 list.

Alexander Schachinger - Germany and Austria

Alexander Schachinger an Austrian in Berlin, is a researcher and speaker on health 2.0 issues and topics. After studying digital media economy in Berlin and Toronto, he worked both in international pharma companies and digital advertising agencies. In Germany he conducted e-patient and digital healthcare online studies whose results partly being presented at this conference. At present Alexander is enganged in completing his phd thesis on health 2.0 with a german focus and project-driven counceling pharma and healthcare clients on digital health topics.

Denise Silber, an American in France, heads Basil Strategies, ehealth emarketing consultants and co-producers of Health 2.0 Europe 2010. Denise has been the French-American Ambassador of eHealth since the mid-'90's and is proud to be driving greater interest in Health 2.0 in Europe through the conference. Denise is a frequent public speaker, author, and blogger on eHealth and Health 2.0 subjects, as well as the founder of the French Association for the Quality of Health Care on the Internet. (http://www.aqis.fr). She holds an MBA from Harvard and an undergraduate degree from Smith and is president of PharMBA.
